Why publishing this blog
This blog is a collection of perspectives for managers and HR professionals who want to shape learning processes in organizations. It deals with the question of how we can design and align corporate learning in a rapidly changing world. It is a search for strategic effectiveness and the correct handling of complexity and dynamics. I look at the capability of companies to perform and change – and the interaction between strategy, organization, learning & development, leadership and culture.
My name is Philipp Simanek. As an expert in personnel and organizational development, located in Munich, Germany, I work for a large, exchange-listed (DAX) company where I am responsible for the corporate academy and other development initiatives. Furthermore, I am a freelance speaker and trainer.
So far I have gained experience as an HR development manager in the following sectors: manufacturing, services, media, digital business. My academic education includes the subjects of business administration, sociology, political science, and media studies.
I enjoy networking and am always curious. For example, as head of the section for personnel and organisational development in the German federation of HR managers (BPM).
